This Thursday will be a fine, sunny day with a few high clouds. A few low clouds also possible in the Chablais. Cold temperatures at dawn, with the air remaining cool on the plains and mild in the mountains.

Temperatures forecast for the Rhône plain: lows -6 to -2°C, highs 0 to 3°C. At stations around 1500m: lows -10 to -5°, highs 2 to 3°. On the summits: -4/2° at 2000m, -8/-4° at 3000m. Isotherm of 0°: 2200m.

Light and variable winds on the plains and in the valleys, light to moderate SW winds in the high mountains.

Next few days in Valais

Friday will be very cloudy, with a few showers and snowfalls from the west during the day, but activity will remain low. Cool temperatures and snowfall limits uncertain, possibly at low altitude before rising to between 1000 and 1500m.

On Saturday, clear skies again in the morning, before becoming very cloudy and frequent rain arriving late in the day and persisting into the evening and night. Seasonal temperatures, with highs of 3 to 5 degrees in the lowlands and 1 to 3 degrees around 1500m, and snowfall limits rising from 1400 to 1800m.

Sunday: residual clouds at first, then sunny. Further increase in cloud cover at the end of the day, followed by rain during the night. Temperatures mild for the season, with highs around 8 to 10 degrees in the lowlands.

From Monday to Wednesday, a disturbed westerly current will direct several disturbances towards our regions, with frequent rain at times. Temperatures very mild for the season, with highs of 10 to 12 degrees in the lowlands and 6 to 8 degrees around 1,500m, and snowfall limits often above 2,000m. Substantial clearing up to mid-mountain areas.
